Hi! It’s me- Jacquelyn .
Your wedding photographer
I’m Jacquelyn, the photographer behind Gray Day Photo + Film, a Los Angeles & Midwest wedding photographer specializing in candid, documentary storytelling with an editorial touch. I work with couples who care less about perfection and more about presence- creating space for them to fully experience their wedding day as it unfolds.
My approach is rooted in a deep appreciation for healthy, supportive love. Growing up in a broken home and navigating unhealthy relationships shaped how I see connection today & it’s why I feel so strongly about documenting relationships that feel safe, intentional, and real.
As a Los Angeles candid wedding photographer and wedding film photographer, I bring more than just a camera to your day. I bring energy, empathy, and structure.
My work is grounded in a few core values: presence over perfection, connection first, and good energy always. I believe the best images come from trust, not forced moments & that the way your wedding feels matters just as much as how it looks.
If you’re looking for a Los Angeles wedding photographer who will not only document your day, but help you feel grounded, celebrated, and surrounded by positive energy- you’re in the right place.
why I do this
A love letter to my couples
I didn’t grow up with many moments that felt safe or steady.
Things were often changing.
& the feeling of “home” wasn’t always something I could hold onto.
But once I stepped into my career as a photographer & started photographing couples, I saw moments I never noticed.
Moments where everything softened.
Where people were just together.
Where it felt enough.
Those are the moments I remember. & I think that’s why I’m drawn to this work.
Not for the perfectly posed photos,
or the idea of creating something that looks flawless, but for the in-between.
The way your partner looks at you when no one else is watching.
The way your people gather around you & are ready to celebrate your love.
The feeling of being fully there, even just for a second.
Because your wedding day isn’t just about how it looks.
It’s about creating something that feels like
home.
And if I can preserve even a small piece of that for you…
something you can come back to, years from now…
that’s why I do this.
& home is whenever I’m with my couples.
